What a weekend!
It was one of those weekends where you think nothing can go wrong and then all of a sudden... everything does. And there is absolutely nothing more frustrating than car trouble, that's for sure!
So there I was, driving through Arizona, when all of a sudden my Ford Escort decides to completely crap out on me. Luckily I was already close enough to the shoulder that I could pull over and put on my flashers. I pop open the hood, take a quick look around and discover the worst of my car trouble nightmares had come true. My timing belt went out!
Here I am, stuck on the side of the road, no idea where the closest repair shop is, and the worst of it is my AAA membership had just expired the month before! "I don't need AAA, I neeever have car problems..." Go figure!
I pull up RepairPal.com on my trusty Android device and look up "Phoenix Auto Repair." Bada bing, bada boom, I have more than enough shops to choose from... with reviews! I called up the shop closest to me, they hooked me up with a tow truck and rescued my poor car!
But just when I think the worst is over, the mechanic hits me with the news that I'm gonna need a new water pump as well! Gosh, when it rains it pours!
All-in-all, I was able to get my car repaired for a lot more than it's probably worth, but I couldn't have done it without RepairPal.com. Love those guys!
